Engaging enough!
01. All about 'Hello Meera'.
Hello Meera being a suspense thriller with a family drama as backdrop casting just only one character- Gaargeyi Yellapragada is absolutely very interesting & engaging. The director just manages the entire story with just one charcter on the screen & rest all charcters comming in on audio in tele conversions. To make such a film, it's a factor associated with ample risk- who can engage a 2hrs+ film with just one character & all the audio transcriptions over telephone?! So, in my opinion this film won it there.
Hello Meera is about a girl Meera who's living in Vijayawada & getting ready for her wedding & is busy with her chores for marriage & suddenly gets a suspicious call from Hyderabad police in a sucide case & she's termed as prime accused. And, as the things unfold very quickly we learn that she's already in a relationship 2yrs before & now they're parted aways. But, the Ex- boyfriend who couldn't able to digest her wedding news has planned something like this. But, poor Meera- who has been trapped in this mess without any of her indulgence makes the things much more confused. So, how has Meera come out of all this non-sense & was she able to win her fiancee's heart despite such a henious blame & how her parents supported her- to know all the answers- go watch the film.
02. What is making this film special?
Just one character playing in the entire film & the conversations that which are lively make the film much more engaging. The director has got enough flesh to cook the curry. It's his intellect that drives the entire film. Sometimes lag creeps in but still the director immediatly turns the gears to make it intriguing.
Even though all other characters come on telephone convos, we are attached to them- towards the climax one can easily remember- Meera's father, her mother, brother, her fiancee Kalyan, her friends & her ex. So, all the credit to the director for able to inject all his script via just one single character on screen.
03. Technicalities?
Music has nothing to do- those two songs are speed breakers however. S. Chinna known for some sensible works in past- nice to know that he composed music for this film, but surely his impact isn't felt at all in this film. Editing & frames were'nt rich enough- however a low budget film- cannot expect more!
04. Any Lows?
Definaitely this film has it's flaws- the script gets boring at atleast 2 or more junctures due to the repetition. The story gets diluted after the first half, climax looks pale- does'nt have any heart. The artificiality is just pellucid all over in the film, the lead charcter needs some acting classes- she's just safe but not at all good at emotions. Her brother character just irritates me- he's too artificial. Dialouges aren't neat- they appear forced & lack soul. Main complaint in this film is Artificiality!
05. My words.
It's a good movie- apart from all the flaws, it's surely an OTT watchable. Not a bad timepass too! Can just watch it. In my words- I liked it, it's a decent watch in recent times.
