Outdated Plot with Pomp, Colour & Extravagnza

01. All about Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

Vivek Athreya after some light hearted emotional-comedy ventures like Brochevaarevarura, Ante Sundaraaniki- dwells into a complete out & out action mass entertainer- Saripodhaa Sanivaaram with a new concept & screenplay. This Nani starring action film is all about what the trailer summed up to. There's a hero with some starnge policy of storing all his anger like a reservoir in all the weekdays with an exception to Saturday, what he actually does to that anger & to those people on whom he's angry on Saturday is something to watch for in the film. Like usual, the plot offers nothing new- it's the same old commercial-action-mass film with loads of action. The plot sums up to a village- Sokulapaalem who's localities are dusted & tortured by a psycho CA officer- (SJ Surya) & how Nani saves the village & instills Dharma is to watch in the film.

02. Why to watch SS?

It's an absolute action film with loads of savagery & violence, to all those fans who don't care about plot & want those scenes which give high- can just stick on this film. There are few scenes especially the interval bang & intro scenes or faceoff between Nani & Surya- which for sure are going to give ample chills. There is a sense of smartness in the screenplay which again impresses us. The background score is a huge blessing, it elevates the action sequences to a different level.

03. Drawbacks?

Plot- yes, the biggest drawback is the plot itself - it's almost a pigeon-hole concept for every action commercial entertainer, so we cannot expect any new from the story. Here, there are scenes showing much of Surya's scenes & less of Nani in comparison to screentime which is a disappointment to Nani's fans.
Little bit lengthy shots & lag in certain places will affect the audience interest. SJ Surya, Priyanka Mohan & Abhiraami dubbed for themselves in Telugu, which is great thing but they sound too foreign & their accents take away the nativity, which is very frequently happening with almost all new films in the name of 'Pan-Indian' which is something that should be denied & disapproved by critics like us.

04. Technicalities & Performances.

Music & score by Jakes Bejoy is very good & has done his best to elevate the film. Few songs could be avoided but they do not disturb the pace of the film however. The score should be commended, each action sequence got some sublime scores.
Editing is fine. Cinematography could have been little more better.

Nani is in his best form, he showcases that he's not just a normal rom-com hero but also can act in super action film just like that. There's a problem with his dialogues like always, because he murmurs them & will never try to make them clear, crisp & bold. Same is that problem till date, but it isn't unbearable though. Priyanka is good but could have been great. SJ Surya is at his usual best, he gets a character that he's always used to playing from beginning- he outshines everyone. Murali Sharma & Sai Kumar gave a praiseworthy supporting performances.

05. Finally.

It's just an out & out commercial entertainer with loads of action & less of plot or more likely we can say a routine plot. It's a one time watch, needn't go to theaters to watch this- it could be your OTT recommendation. But if you are fans of those scenes which give instant chills & hype, you can watch them in theatre. Strictly, a below average film with some good screenplay & engaging performances from the leads.
